Homeland Security

On March 13th, Pete Domenici voted no on S.4, “Secure Travel and Counterterrorism Partnership Act.”  This bill will implement the recommendations of the bipartisan 9/11 Commission and will make Americans more secure.

The bill has several major provisions.  It helps local governments with grants for first responders and communications equipment.  The bill helps to equalize homeland security funding for the states.  Perhaps most important, it strengthens our rail, transit and cargo security.

It’s disturbing that Pete Domenici would vote against a measure to make us safer.

Pete Domenici can’t be trusted with our security.  It’s time to change our senator.
